Moving On

After what has been an incredible four years, I will be leaving Constellation Brands at the end of the month.

I joined CBI to build a strategy for advancing women in the organization, but I found the executives were ready to do meaningful & impactful work towards D&I for all. As a result, I pitched a 3-year strategy to build a D&I program to Tom Kane, our CHRO. Tom’s response “Let’s do this” set us on our path.

Upon reflection, I recognize I didn’t end up building a thing. I shared a vision & created opportunities for people to get engaged, raise their voices, & help to build the foundation of our program; they built it. When Kris Carey took the helm as our 1st CDO it elevated our work. Employees' voices had impact, leaders led more inclusively, & representation improved in key areas. Mike McGrew, our new CDO, recently rolled out a bold & exciting Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion strategy that is integrated with the corporate strategy and will propel CBI to the next level.

For me, I’ve completed what I set out to do & it’s time to go. The words “thank you” don’t properly express the feeling of gratitude I have for all who trusted me, cheered me on, mentored me, & got engaged in this transformative work. I am proud of what we have done to advance DEI at CBI
